-Jewish scribes were very down to the letter. counted vowels/consenents - add up numerical equivalent values of letter (In Hebrew letters had numeral values equivalent)

120 year gap between copies of Isaiah found in the cave and our earliest copies (circa 1201 AD)
2 Tim 3:16 - 17 All scripture is God-breathed, good for teaching. Heb 4:12 - 13 James 1:21 - humbly accept the word of God because it saves us

to be a disciple - live the word learn the text, live the text, teach the text, pray the text, die the text
it takes 72 hours to read the (entire) bible
we need to pray, sing hymns, teach the word, believe it. it is not a dead history book.
